A word of warning if you’re considering whether to buy brand new Christmas lighting. Christmas lights trends tend to go and come. What seemed spectacular and lovely one year might not look so spectacular the next calendar year. I learned this lesson with icicle lights. The very first year they were around the market that I loved them. They seemed so fresh and sparkly. The following year their popularity seemed to explode and every second house was adorned with icicle lighting. I quickly tired of icicle lights. I’m not spending very much money on the brand new Christmas trend. I tend towards more subtle standard lighting approaches, wait a year or two before buying in the new Christmas lights trends and you will be less likely to make a mistake.
